In 1950 the Otesk War was going strong, Although Japan had surrendered 5 years earlier (due to Little boy , and Fat man) the USA was skeptical of aircraft like the B-29 to carry heavy payloads long distances, albeit the B-29 was the only nuclear capable Bomber in the USAAF for a while (1955), so General McCalister decided to host a new competition, a bomber competition. Three companies joined in; Alaska-Craft, Lockheed, and Boeing. Lockheed created the B34, based on the Tri-Star. Boeing built the B-39, a Fully jet aircraft, in tests though it would set itself on fire. And Alaska-Craft took a plane made to compete with the B-36, their B-35 Anchorage.
The Anchorage is a very small bomber, with a lighter armament then it's predecessors. But it was fast, and I mean FAST, it could reach speeds similar to the P-51 and P-47.
