Sport ESJ 002 Mako
The Mako is a experimental racing boat designed to achieve high speeds while maintaining a decent amount maneuverability.
Develpment
The Mako began its development after the spirit of australia set its record, the goal was never to beat it, but to try to produce something similar which was achieved with the sixth prototype
- First prototype: stability demonstrator in static position and at 50 km / h (scrapped)
- Second prototype: stability test at 150 km / h (Destroyed while testing)
- Third prototype: New lateral stabilization
50 km / h (pass)
100 km / h (pass)
150 km / h (pass)
200 km / h (aboted due to structural concern)
200 km / h re trayed after structural inspection (pass)
250 km / h (destroyed due a catastrophic structural failure)
- Fourth prototype: Structure reinforced
300 km / h (pass)
350 km / h (pass)
367 km / h max throttle achieved
New jet engine installed
400 km / h (pass)
450 km / h max throttle achieved
- Fifth prototype: added brake system, added gauges and internal controls.
First test with real pilot: the tests were nominal up to 400 km / h, when a catastrophic failure occurred, the boat disintegrated, the pilot died instantly due to the explosion, the investigation showed that the fuel tubes were charged with static and when a tube broke gave the movement to the electricity, which ignited the fuel tank and because it was almost empty it caused the explosion.
- Sixth prototype: After the death of a test pilot new security measures were adopted, first the fuel tank gets filled with CO2 as the fuel gets consumed to avoid sudden explosion of it, the pilot was provided whit an automatic ejection system that in case of a major failure it will put the pilot out from the boat in mere fractions of a second.
All test concluded suseccfuly
max speed achived 440 km / h
The project was terminated due to funding shortage
Controls
Throttle = go forward
Roll = Turn
Ag1 = Engine start
Ag2 = Bail out

Yes I made a typo on the title I know
Looks nice! Will test later
