Pistolet Komkova
Komkov's Pistol, the PKo. A solid, reliable sidearm from the New Soviet Federation. Chambered in the umbiquous 9x19mm Parabellum, it is designed to use special armor-piercing +P+ ammunition. However, it will function just as reliably with standard and +P loads without modification. It is for this ability, 20-round capacity, and reliable simplified Browning action that makes this pistol incredibly popular within the Soviet Army. However, given the massive stocks of Makarov pistols, police and militia units still use the Makarov.
This particular example was presented as a gift from Field Marshal Mark Vasiliev of the Soviet Army to Brig. Gen. Jamie Wilson of the Paternian Marine Corps during a state visit to New York. While the PKo was never imported into the Paternian Republic, it is not uncommon for Soviet diplomats to bring presentation models as gifts to foreign diplomats. This is a practice not uncommon with other foreign services, and the gifts are highly varied in all diplomatic services.
