This is the flag of the cool-looking and interestingly named nation of Jordan. Jordan, contrary to popular belief, is not landlocked due to it's 13-mile long coastline in the south. Jordan is home to UNESCO Heritage site and one of the Wonders of the World, the ancient site of Petra. The flag of Jordan has a backdrop tricolour and triangle, in the Pan-Arab colors. In the Pan-Arab colors, the black stripe signifies the Abbasid Caliphate. The white stripe signifies the Umayyad Caliphate. The green stripe signifies the Fatimid Caliphate, and the red chevron signifies the Hashemite Dynasty and the Arab Revolt.
