The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter aircraft designed by McDonnell Douglas (now part of Boeing). Following reviews of proposals, the United States Air Force (USAF) selected McDonnell Douglas's design in 1969 to meet the service's need for a dedicated air superiority fighter. The Eagle first flew in July 1972, and entered service in 1976. It is among the most successful modern fighters, with over 100 victories and no losses in aerial combat, with the majority of the kills by the Israeli Air Force.

About Mobius 1

Mobius 1 was an Independent State Allied Forces Air Force ace pilot and flight leader of the 118th Tactical Fighter Wing "Mobius." He is renowned for his contributions to defeating Erusea during the Continental War and the rebellious Free Erusea forces across post-war Usea.

Mobius 1's life prior to the Usean Continental War as well as his nationality remain unknown. Although the first in-game appearance of Mobius 1 shows him taking off from the Fort Grace,a Federation of Central Usea (FCU) aircraft carrier,the ISAF is known to have shared aircraft and pilots among the nations within its coalition. The fact that he begins the game as an aircraft carrier pilot, however, could indicate that he was initially part of his country's naval aviation division rather than a ground-based air force pilot.

Furthermore, nothing is known of Mobius 1's identity, apart from his callsign and the nicknames he garnered during the Continental War. He is a male, evidenced by that towards the end of Ace Combat 04, AWACS SkyEye repeatedly refers to Mobius 1 by the masculine "he" or "him".
