Auto Credit Based on Jpeggers's P-51D Mustang (Attempt 2)
In June 1944, the first flight of a Spiteful aircraft occurred. This aircraft was designed to be a successor to the Spitfire who's wings were a radical change from the Spitfire. These wings alongside it's Royals Royce Griffon engine made for an aircraft which could fly at high altitude without losing the manoeuvrability of the Spitfire. This new wing also allowed for faster speeds and longer dive rates. Sadly this aircraft was only produced in 19 forms. 17 of which saw action. I hope you enjoy my replica!
