This was an armoured attack aircraft that was overshadowed by the Il-2 Sturmovik, the Su-6 powered by a air-cooled radial engine was more advanced and didn't require armouring production wasn't switched as the Il-2 was already in full production, Sukhoi made a second prototype this time with an inline engine but it was designed too late to be considered ( activator 1 for front guns, 2 for turret, trim for landing gear)
