ExF-13 Colonist

165 ArrowAero  2.8 years ago

After a long hiatus of producing nothing but the slow selling Floatangle glider and the simple, yet refined Swinger to sell to civilian markets as a means to fund the terribly overdue turbojet program, the high ups at Arrow Inc. decided to finally release the Colonist. After taking the Floatangle glider and spending an extremely ridiculous amount of time deciding where best to mount the temperamental turbojet, and finally overcoming fuel consumption issues, the Colonist was released to a not-so-expectant group of Air Corps observers. While the maneuverability was great and the turbojet much improved, the Colonist was terribly slow and tended to pitch up at higher speeds, though only slightly. However, a somewhat impressed group of observers gave the green light to more funding for the turbojet program to continue developing the Colonist, and actually bought the three prototype aircraft for their own experimentation to hurry along the resulting development process. As always, good luck pilots!
