Heavily modified (and we do mean heavily) CH-54 Tarhee, aka Skycrane. Stole the rotor blades off of six old OH-58's, strapped 'em on a proprietary set of four rotar heads, chucked in a few hodge podged transmissions and a new fangled gyroscope thingy. Next thing you know we're out back picking up shipping containers and dropping them off in the hills for the doomsday prepper types.
To fly, about 50% throttle hovers. To transition to forward flight, full power, gently rotate the rotars forward with VTOL up. Mix in some aft trim for the best effect. As speed increases, you can continue to rotate the rotars forward. AG1 to drop the not-really-detailed shipping container. AG2 to adjust the Aft gear. Sorry for the lack of detail and cool stuff, made it on the tablet and just about smoked the poor old thing. Enjoy.
