The Valkyrie is capable of comfortably cruising at well over 2000 miles per hour. To do this, three prototype thermonuclear powerplants are in use. However, due to the "charge-up" nature of these engines, airbrakes are used to decelerate the craft, as the engines keep accelerating even when off. The airbrakes also give the craft another unique feature - the ability to decelerate from 2500 MPH to 400 in the blink of an eye. These extreme conditions mean that normal control surfaces c cannot be used; instead the whole wing is rotated. I didn't make the modded engines, the credit for those goes to their creator.
