The BU-4 was made to show off the BurkeEnterprise aviation fusion reactor. Containing a small reactor about 6 inches across and incased in canaduim, a new alloy of titanium fused with diamond particles, The BU-4 can go for days on only 3 gallons of water using electrolysis. The pilot and reactor engineer sit in tandem under the canopy with the engineer facing the reactor
