History: In late 1943, the Gunther-Schmitt company received an order for a new attack aircraft from the Luftwaffe. For this, they created the GS-14, which was slightly larger than the GS-12, but because of advancements in airframe design, was slightly lighter, giving it a higher top speed. It was armed with six machine guns (all mounted in the nose) as well as a more advanced "ejection" system (it was really just a more reliable version of the one used on the GS-12 series). Over 4,000 GS-14s were produced until the war ended with the aircraft achieving a lot of success in combat.
