This could possibly be the most historic plane ever created. The Spirit of St. Louis was a hand-built, single seat airplane. The historic part happened when Charles Lindbergh had flown it over the Atlantic Ocean with no stops and only a compass for navigation. Flight was from Long Island, New York to Paris France, which there he won $25,000 for completing the journey.
