Othawne's Bird v2
328k SpiritusRaptor
7.4 years ago
Auto Credit Based on Vincent's Golden eagle wings / Experimental tail.
Some more refinement to Othawne's bird.
I have used #Visify's piston engines for this one. Mainly so one can stop them and glide, also for landing.
- VTOL all the way up.
- AG1 to launch, bring level while at the same time staring the wings (throttle).
- Move VTOL down to tuck up the legs.
- Use TRIM for levelling or climbing.
For landing try and stall it close to the ground, plus max TRIM.
You can increase the speed of the wings by adjusting the piston speed.

Don’t start this in the air, it crashes you.
@DavStrWrexham
@WalrusAircraft Thanks
Another incredible build!
@SpiritusRaptor Thanks the advice.
Ahh... hmm.. tricky... it might be the modded cockpit - see if you can replace it with a full size one. @rhettispagetti
@SpiritusRaptor thanks for the advice and sorry for the confusion, but it lterally crashes my computer. it says Simple Planes has stoped responding. Again sorry for the confusion.
Go check out Version 3!
can you make an b-52 please?
@rhettispagetti I think you might be saying it rolls to one side? With trim one can get the elevation ok, but yes, over time it does roll to one side and slowly drops... Of course this can be looked at.
This is in the best summary possible... AWESOME! However if it crashes or goes in the water, your game desides it's done with life and crashes. maybe something that can be fixed in v3 perhaps.
Interesting touches!
this is a thing of beauty legit coolest thing ever @SpiritusRaptor
Going The Distance Challenge... Hmmmmmmmm...
@SpiritusRaptor, Ok

@NoName101 The predecessor link was not working, so it took a couple of tries to get it there...
