AF-76(1976)

0 zzantarc  6 days ago

The AF-76 is a modified version based on the AF-108B, a hypersonic interceptor / attacker designed by the Michael Galvin Design Bureau to carry high-speed air-to-air missiles and guided bombs. It was planned to be used to deliver nuclear weapons, because of its high cruising speed to meet the tactical needs of surprise attacks and the security needs of rapid evacuation after delivery, according to military statistics, a total of 42 AF-76 was produced. Because of its weak mobility, difficulty in driving, and low operational demand for its own special aircraft, the AF-76 is still in service in the country's air force today, with a maximum speed of Mach 5 (6125 km / h or 3,865.15 mph), according to some scholars.
