This realtively simplistic aircraft was Republics prototype for the US Army's super fighte program, though this was one of the numerous aircraft that weren't finshed in time, but the AP-13 uses a low-drag type of construction though the obvious problem arised the pilots view, the cockpit was reworked several times in order to mix good vision with minium size, these reworkings slowed it's development and it never got a chance to fly
