The B-26 Bombarder is a medium mid-range bomber developed by McLean Aviation for the Republic Army Air Force. With a revolutionary bomb bay door design, it helps to protect the bombs and the bomber from and AA fire. First used in the campaign on Kishiga, the bomber is more expensive, slightly slower than, and has 2/3 the payload of the B-34 Albatross, it has more reliable service and is safer to operate.

The B-26 is not expected to become the primary Republic bomber, however. Because of the increased bomb load and cheaper cost, the B-34 will retain that title. But the advancements of the B-26 will earn it a powerful place among the RAAF.
