Twister
The Twister was the weirdest Nova Evropan aircraft to have been deployed in combat, albeit only in small numbers. Effectively an hybrid between an airship and an airplane, the Twister has a modified Rozière structure that enables it to heat it's lifting gas through indirect contact at will. This enables the Twister to control it's climb rate beyond a conventional airplane's ability while maintaining similar flight characteristics at the cost of potential fragility.
The Twister's original purpose was to serve as escort fighters for the envisioned zeppelin fleet projec tthe Scorcher and Charrer belonged to, using their variable buoyancy to quickly ascend after diving on enemy interceptors. In practice, it was more often used as a light bomber, where it proved to be less vulnerable than the Burner, but not enough to cope with newer aeroplanes. In spite of it's flaws, the concept of the hybrid airship would be toyed on and off by the victors, with the CIR having more interest in airships overall. In a way, it can be seen as one precursor to the Flounder.
