BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Figure -126 the "bryophyte" early warning aircraft is adapted from the -114 based civil aircraft. The body is basically the same as figure -114, but there is an air tube attached to the nose and a ventral fin at the tail. The upper part of the fuselage is equipped with a revolving radome with a diameter of 11 meters. [1] it is Russia's first generation of early warning and control aircraft, and it can be used as an interceptor or ground attack aircraft's air guidance command station.

Electronic equipment

This AWACS airborne electronic equipment consists of 1 "flat top" airborne early warning radar, SRO-2M type enemy identifier, an antenna with a diameter of 11 meters in the rotating radar cover, the "siren" -3 guard tail radar warning device (the antenna is on the vertical tail), the close range navigator and the inertial navigation system.

Communication equipment

There are R-831/RSIV-5 UHF / VHF radio, RSB-70/R-837 high frequency radio and ARL-5 data link. The machine is equipped with passive and active electronic countermeasures equipment, Doppler ground speed and bias angle measuring instrument, "Ruby" ground search radar and APA-11 automatic radio compass and other instruments. All these devices enable moss to find aerial flying objects very accurately 24 hours a day.

Power device

The power unit is 4 NK-12MV turboprop engines with a single power of 11033 kW (14795 axis horsepower), each drive two with a diameter of 5.6 meter coaxial reverse propeller with an oil load of 60000 kilograms.
