The Sea Scarab was a direct competitor to the Saunders Roe A/1 seaplane fighter. The basic design was based on the Supermarine Scarab MKII with a great number of modifications to allow operation at sea.

The Sea Scarab was produced in significant numbers and was used operational by a number of air forces around the world and in conflicts such as the Korean War.

The model depicted here is in a Scheme used by the Blue Pelican display team, the premier display team of the Fleet Air Arm in the 1950s.
