Aerostyle AS-19
This is my entry for @Forwind's documentary on the Bandit War. AcG:1&2 for bombs, VTOL for flaps. So, on to the story for this aircraft. Since the Americans and the British havecalways had a long-standing friendship, Aerostyle gave this aircraft to the RAF for service in the Bandit War. This aircraft was the lead bomber in its formation. Right after a squadron of T-40 "Ravengers" successfully took out a bridge that was supplying the Bandit's armies, the RAF quickly sent up a squadron of 30 newly-aquired Aerostyle AS-19s. When they were over their targets, the bombers were met with a huge force of Bandit P-62 Sultans. 27 of the 30 bombers were shot down before they could drop their bombs, and the Bandits suffered only one loss. Against all odds, John Style (the grandson of the founder of Aerostyle Aviation) continued with the other two bombers on their mission. John's bomber lost an engine due to flak, but John kept flying. He successfully bombed the docks where the Bandits were also getting supplied. His bomber alone shot down over 50 Bandit aircraft, and John manage to limp it back to base.
