Not only can you formation fly these, you can also hook up one with the winch and air-tow it around!
AG1 for quad 1.
AG2 for quad 2.
AG3 to activate magnets.
Trim up to lower winch.
Throttle to full and take off with VTOL about half way up to the first notch.
You can then deactivate quad 2 (AG2 off) and fly above it with quad 1 and hook up the winch and magnet.
