Orion Co. OF-13 Scorpion Sundowners

13.7k OrionAstronaut  8.1 years ago

(FICTIONAL) In 1966, the Orion Aerospace Defence company set out to build a variable-sweep aircraft for the U.S Navy. It went through many testing phases, but it was finally finished by 1973 (this model is the sundowners paint scheme). The OF-13 Scorpion served in several conflicts as a fleet interceptor and fighter. It is used today for electronic warfare. INSTRUCTIONS, VTOL DOWN FOR SWEEP, 2 FOR PARACHUTES, AND TRIM DOWN FOR TAILHOOK. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE.

Yeah, I was an avionics troop (EW/Jammming/Reception/TACAN focus) in the USAF once upon a Christmas, and we trained on this airframe (Though it was being retired) and F-15's. The EF-111 never allowed a single radar guided missle to strike any aircraft it was protecting, AFAIRecall...
