Type 95 Ji-Ro

Japan began developing a new tank destroyer design in 1940. For this vehicle, they used the modified chassis of the Type 95 Ro-Go, which never entered production. Thanks to its large dimensions, high-caliber cannons could be mounted on this vehicle. The choice was towards the 105 mm Type 92 field gun, which was already in use by the army. The engine compartment was located at the front of the fuselage. The closed combat compartment was located at the rear. However, work on the vehicle was halted in early 1943 due to increased requirements for mobility and armor.
