Cormack Type 61MRC-B2 Hood

33.3k Bernkastel  4.7 years ago

Another canard/deltawing multirole strike fighter and my 2nd carpet bomber.

Designed during the development with Poyasakai's F-17B Justinian (Project Claudious), Cormack worked together with the company to build the "Superceptor" for intercepting enemy aircraft in the enemy airspace. Thus, she was called the Type 61IW Claudious after all.

However, during the 1980s she was reconfigured to become a multirole strike fighter. She was renamed the Hood, named after that Royal Navy battlecruiser, and dropped the IW to replace it with the MRC designation - she was first among all Cormack aircraft to be configured as a multirole combat aircraft.

By chance, she was called "Dreadful Whisper" because during the War on the Karvak Border, one Kodzac air-ground missile was dropped on 26,000 feet to destroy an artillery of tanks in just one shot without the Karvakian Army looking everywhere...

AG1 - arrestor hooks (if you need it carrierworthy).
AG2 - weapons.
AG3 - bomb bay.
AG4 - CARPETBOMBING!!!
AG5 - airbrakes.
