Pride of the RSN
The Formidable-class multi-role stealth frigates are the latest surface platforms to enter into service with the Republic of Singapore Navy, and are multi-mission derivatives of the French Navy's La Fayette-class frigate. The six ships form the First Flotilla of the RSN. The ship portrayed here is RSS Intrepid.
Harpoon missiles launched!
In March 2000, the Singapore Ministry of Defence awarded the contract for a replacement to the Sea wolf class missile gunboats to DCNS for the design and construction of six frigates. Construction of Formidable began in late 2002, when the keel was laid down in Lorient in November 2002.
STRALES
Radar cross section reduction features have been incorporated into the Formidable class design, with inclined hull sides and bulwarks as well as concealment of ship boats and replenishment-at-sea equipment behind low-RCS curtains. The Formidable class have a significantly reduced profile than the La Fayette class due to the smaller superstructure and the use of enclosed sensor mast technology. The frigate is also constructed entirely of steel, unlike the La Fayette class which makes extensive use of weight-saving composite structures

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE!
My first and likely last Replica. The part count number was an accident, but the pennant number was not. The circular bow was hell, and there was some confusion over whether I was building the ship pre-refit or post-refit. The building was slow and i screwed up the scale (the current scale is somewhere close to 1:1.949 as compared to the Intended 1:2.). Still, as a Singaporean, I initially intended for this ship to be released on August 9th. However, due to a COVID-19 case spike, most of the National day celebrations were delayed to August 21st. This resulted in a bit of confusion over when i should release it. I eventually decided on launching this on August 9th. Still, im proud of this ship. If you like it, do drop an upvote! Enjoy!

This build is in a roughly 1:2 Scale.
