A-19 Active
The Cardinal is a supersonic swing-wing strike aircraft. This bird is thirsty, 3,000 gallons will get you little more than a trip from wright to snowstone and back. Block B adds speed brakes, a parachute, and a external fuel tank.
The A-19 Active program was an attempt to turn the A-19 into a multirole aircraft at a lower cost than designing a new fighter. This meant the addition of forward canards and twin 1D thrust Vectoring engines. Ultimately, the low altitude wing loading on the swing wing mechanism proved too much for the A-19 and it was never mass produced.
