With the current high oil prices, and demand for regional aircraft. Airbus designed the A250 with some basis from the A340 and the A350. Instead of using turbojets, Airbus is using contrarotating turbofans with a combination of a smaller jet engine which would let the plane travel in excess of 400 MpH or somewhere in ~700Km/h region. The plane would mostly be used in rural areas in Canada, Central U.S, and parts of Europe. Controls are (1+vtol = flaps)(8+vtol =gears)
