Race Plane Challenge (CLOSED)
ATTENTION!
I apologize for closing the challenge early. However, the number of entries so far as greatly exceeded my expectations. As it stands I have 49 planes that I must test fly, and run on the Oceanview speedway course. If even only half qualify, that's still 75 laps I have to run to get times for everyone. If I had to fly all the planes, that's nearly 150 laps. So I'm closing early.
To anyone who didn't get a chance to enter, my sincerest apologies. The next challenge should be open to more entries than this.
I'll be spending the next week and a half flight testing and judging the current entries. With any luck, I'll have the winners sorted by the 8th.
Thanks to all who were able to participate! May the best engineer win!
================================================================
Alright folks. The time has finally come for another CHALLENGE!
Goal: Build a race plane to compete on the Oceanview Speedway course.
There will be three winning categories:
-Best Looking Plane
-Fastest level flight below 1000ft
-Fastest time on Oceanview Speedway as averaged by three runs.
Planes must be prop powered and can have a maximum of two engines. No other supplemental power may exist on the aircraft (such as hidden jet engines. You may NOT use modded engines of any kind.
Planes must be able to take-off from the ground and complete a lap on Oceanview Speedway.
Planes must be able to land.
All entries must use the cockpit from this file and be uploaded as a successor to qualify!
All entries will be upvoted by me! :D
The winners of the three categories will each receive upvotes on nine (9) of their planes.
There will be only one winner per category (So if you happen to build both the fastest plane and fastest time on the course, you will only win one of the two categories).
There will be a second place over-all runner up for five (5) upvotes, and a third place position for three (3) upvotes.
I will make the timed runs on the course for the final judging. The runs will be fair, and if I miss any rings, the lap will be a scratch and will be flown again.
Good luck, and may the best engineer win!
(Please leave a comment if you plan to enter, and if you'd like to show your support of these challenges, please upvote this post so others can see it!)

How do I set up a Challange?
@A5mod3us I'm in when does the new one end
IF you people also wanna join my racing challenge! Theres 4 categories and 3 circuits!
@FullFruntall I'll accept it, but that's the last entry I'm allowing.
I just rounded off the 49 to 50 heheheeheheeheheheehe
@Verdnan @Twiek Sadly no. The next challenge will be totally different.
@A5mod3us I'm in the same boat as @Verdnan... mine is double digits faster than the fastest submission.
@A5mod3us Will the next challenge have the same requirements? My plane beats every plane here in level flight that I am sure.
Im in!
I will join!
I'm in! Let's have some fun! May the odds ever be in your favor!
@AgDynamics They'll be disqualified, then. Unfortunately the rules state each plane has to be able to fly one lap on the course.
@A5mod3us I hope you have a contingency for not being able to complete the course. I checked out a few of the entries and there are a couple that are literally unflyable.
I'm in
@Hideo Sure is. Next competition I should be able to allow more entries. This time around, however, I'm already going to be saddled with flying the oceanview race course 135 times :P
@A5mod3us yeah. Your competition is going crazy!
Hello @A5mod3us . I can't post my entry because I didn't see this challenge before creating my New Race Plane.
But can you take a look by the way and tell me what do you think of this if it was in challenge ?

Don't worry you'll take fun to fly this
But I don't know how to swap cockpits without overwrite my complete plane
Just an update. We currently have 43 entries. That's already much more than I anticipated. Since each plane requires three times on the course, I'm going to cap the entries of and close the contest at 45. So get those final two entries in quick before you lose your chance!
Let's go
@merasmusthewizard Yes, turboprops are allowed for this challenge. @Danillio05 No modded parts.
