What you can build with a pair of wings, a jet engine, a length of fuselage, an inlet, a nose cone, a cockpit, and a fairing? A feisty little plane. The Dart is JAI's experiment in minimalist plane design.
Normal controls, trimmable pitch. VTOL for trim moustaches. AG1 Drag chute, AG2 navigation/anti-collision lights.
At high speeds, the plane has the tendency to pitch up. This can be countered with trim mustaches.
Landing: because of low drag/low lift wings, approach speed quite high, just under 400 mph. Combined with space-constrained landing gear, safe landing requires the use of drag chute. Approach at low power and full pitch trim up. When flaring, cut off the engine and deploy the brake chute. Brake until stop.
