PY-GJi 'Brigadier'

Though strange looking, the Brigadier is a precisely executed design intended to challenge my GE36 inspired open rotor jet. The contra-rotating, 8 prop open rotors are fixed with a progressively higher alpha pitch making them useless at slower speeds, but with a little help from the jet turbine (power 50% reduced), these props can produce an unreal amount of power. Believe it or not, this thing can land and takeoff from the water, but i suggest you start in the air. The aircraft would have to be made entirely of carbon fiber to weigh as little as it does, but it does make the design really agile; able to pull G's that would likely liquify and actual human being. The power to weight ratio is 22.236:1, so take it easy on that thottle until you get some altitude. Enj joy!!

Believe it or not, that is how the design started, as a high performance racer. Then, as usual, it developed a mind of its own. Feel free to play with the design.

He probably won't actually see that, but I just wanted to show him this, since his building style is just like this!
