The Northrop F-20 Tigershark is an experimental version of the F-5 Tiger which replaces the avionics and swaps out the twin engines for a single large engine. This was done to try to modernize the F-5 fleet without significant costs.
This is the second plane in my venture to build every plane in Ace Combat 5. It comes in the aircraft "tree" after filling the "kill rate" gauge for the F-5. It features upgrades on almost all stats, and the Semi Active Air to Air (SAAM) missile, which is the in game analogue to the AIM-7 Sparrow missile. It retains the four standard missiles and autocannons of the F-5.
