Birmingham Mk.II
Push to gold!
This large 4 engine bomber had been developed out of a certain lack of reliable heavy bombers in the Commonwealth- the American Bomblifters were low in numbers at the time and many regions needed a large aircraft to supplement their meager air forces. This aircraft was one of a few that were born out of a specification calling to fill in this gap, and were mass produced in many variants to do not only bombing duties, but also tow gliders, haul cargo, and perform reconnaissance.
My buddy Rexzion recently pointed out the fact that I didn't really have a heavy bomber in my lineup, and since the only other thing I made that I would consider a "heavy bomber" is a little outdated in it's construction, and that my massive cargo glider didn't have a tow, I took the opportunity to make this. There are 5 turrets on this beast, all with equivalent guns that can fire .303 ammunition, yet they are all controlled with one slider. The plane also carries about x20 Boom 250s in a working bomb bay (of course), custom gear, and more realistic flap extension. If you are wondering what the pinnacle of my construction is, this is probably it currently. A massive thank you to Rexzion and Inuyasha8215 for test flying!

VTOL: Flaps, rotates guns
Trim: Trim, of course
AG1:Bomb Bay
AG2: Activates every turret and disables flaps in whatever position they were in.
There are camera views for the rear turret, the nose turret, and the turret underneath the plane.
Here is an example of how much damage this thing could take and still be able to land.
I definitely will make a few more variants of this thing in the future.

great plane! u should try to make the turrets automatic or team up with someone that can do it .
also the conversation in the comments are very interesting
@APilotOfPlanes thats some good news
@ChrisETH so I had a long break from SP until about 5 months ago. I didn't really remember the past that well, but the point is there were a lot more high-quality challenges back then. I think I will hold off doing more challenges for a while.
@APilotOfPlanes but nobody does that now anymore, because its seen as annoying and a bit tacky. im not saying ur tacky, but maybe u should change with the times, because as we've seen, people are getting annoyed and criticizing. also, my account is older than you by quite a bit, and most people didnt do that, so idk what you're talking about
nice conversation you got there
@ChrisETH yes, I agree. But there was a time when people actually did challenges every 5 or 6 weeks. It's just that the environment of the community has since changed.
And I will stop complaining now because I have known the root cause of the problem. He just did not mention challenge frequency at all.
@APilotOfPlanes i mean the guys saying ur farming upvotes and hes warning u that it wont be the same. like sub botting on yt. u will have the subs, not the fans. youll have the followers but not the skill.
@APilotOfPlanes you can try hard to make it perfect, but the origins wont. if i were u, i wouldnt do challenges for a LONG while
@APilotOfPlanes youve done like 3 challenges in 2 months m8, i think that might be too much. Ive been on this site for 2.1 years and im doing my first challenge. so, they hate u because ur making way too many challenges. personally, i respect u, but im sorta on their side
@APilotOfPlanes because, as it seems, youre makeing so many to farm upvotes i
guess. im making my own fair challenge and im paying the judges, and the winnrs, and im trying to make it fun
@ChrisETH I did, but with a challenge. I stayed there comfortably for 5 days
But people hate my challenges now.
Look at this
Shucks, is there any way we can have the "perfect challenge"? I know mine wasn't perfect, but I tried and I tried hard.
@APilotOfPlanes one day we might reach that front page
@APilotOfPlanes yeah, he was a nice starter, and i loved how the SP community came together to upvote and spotlight. he got on the front page! im so proud of him! i was like the 4th to upvote
@ChrisETH 58 upvotes for that? I mean, look at my planes. It would be reaching my life goals to get half of that lol
My posts are absurdly underrated compared to those of CheeseBoi lol
@ChrisETH OMG lol
I'll post my first plane then
@APilotOfPlanes u can tho, look at @CheeseBoi, he got like 900 points on his first plane, and hes already silver, in 2 posts
@ChrisETH I wish to get 400 points with one post oof
Now that I have more points, I am facing the same controversy as @KnightOfRen lol
@TurtlesThatFly well then, might as well help u on ur push to gold
edit: spotlighted and updooted, continue ur push m8
@APilotOfPlanes perhaps
@TurtlesThatFly wait you expect to get to gold with just this?
