"Maverick" - Super Swing Wing
Demonstration video: http://youtu.be/z3TBjcJD6Hc
A fast and agile plane with variable wing sweep. Its signature feature is that the pilot can quickly rotate the wings back and forth to make the plane supermaneuverable and perform post-stall maneuvers. This is done by quickly rotating the wings fully forward to make the plane unstable, performing the maneuver, and then quickly rotating the wings back to normal position to restore stability and return to normal flight. Watch the demo video to see how it's done (Kulbits and Cobras start at around 1:15).
INSTRUCTIONS:
[1] The plane starts in single-engine "fuel-saver" mode. Use activator 1 to turn the rear engines on/off (performance is much, much better with all engines on).
[Slider] Vary wing sweep with the slider. Experiment with different positions; the default position is best for normal flight, while fully forward should only be used for post- stall maneuvers. Fully swept back can also be fun.
Besides post-stall maneuvers, the plane also handles very well with the wings in the default position and can yaw very respectably. Named after Tom Cruise's character in the well-known film Top Gun. I've wanted to make a plane like this for a while; hope you like it!

38.8k hypnotoadWow, ABC this is amazing! It's like nothing else. Well done, I totally appreciate the styling on this one, really my kinda plane. I had thought it was going to be way too difficult to control, but there is an intuitive feel to this one. Really impressed mate, nice job.9.9 years ago
