@Edwinatrt well it doesn't exactly need to be in line with the the barrel. if the scope is close to the front post you could make the aiming reticle off center from the scope though it might just be more advantageous to make a second post and put it on a arm inline with the scope.

@Shadowfox its OK . its something I've bean working on for a wile. i was almost completely illiterate when i was young. its a good thing when people kindly point out these things to me, it helps me know i still have a ways to improve.

I realized that the scope most be on center. For the reason this sniper rifle has a changeable magazine at the bottom and not on top as the Springfield, and also the WW1 and WW2 the scope use to be more longer.

Are you kidding me? What is going on I am going to post literally a working bolt action in like 2 days. I hate my life.

@Edwinatrt now it looks more like a sniper riffle. though the scope is way to high for supper long distance actuate shooting it's fairly good. If there was a bending joint on the scope's mounting you could bring it down into aliment with the fruit post and barrel. as it is this scope mounting setup wouldn't look that far out of place on a anti-tank riffle do to its unsentimental mounting.
