The Vanguard-Class LHS is a powerful amphibious assault ship designed to complement larger vessels in expeditionary missions. With its expansive deck and multi-role hangar, the Vanguard-Class can deploy an array of aircraft, landing craft, and support vehicles, establishing a forward presence in joint operations.

Its defensive loadout is robust, featuring two Phalanx CIWS for close-range defense, two RIM Rolling Airframe launchers, and Mark 29 launchers equipped with Sea Sparrow missiles for intercepting air threats at medium range. These systems create a layered defense, allowing the Vanguard-Class to protect itself and other vessels in the fleet.

In addition to its physical defenses, the Vanguard-Class is equipped with advanced radar and electronic warfare capabilities, allowing it to withstand complex, contested environments. Known as a “shield on the waves,” it acts as a deterrent against potential threats, enabling larger ships to focus on offensive maneuvers while it provides a resilient defensive line in amphibious assaults.
