The Lynch X1-26 was a fighter jet that was the best and still is one of the best. In the late 1950’s, wright airforce needed a new fighter jet, all of there other fighters where prop aircraft, and couldn’t catch up to the yeager jet aircraft. Lynch X got straight on the project and in the next 2 years, they had the best fighter in the world complete! It was not bought by just Wright airforce, but also bandit, avalanch, and many other countries. It is still thought to be one of the best fighters to this day.
