Auto Credit Based on Avro683Lancaster's Medium Tank, M3 Lee
The Medium Tank, M3, named Lee in British service was an WWII medium tank design developed by the US Army as an interim design, replacing the M2 medium tanks, before the introduction of the M4 Sherman. The M3 Lee had a 75mm gun in a sponson on the side, and a 37mm gun in an offset turret, and a riveted construction, all unfavourable characteristics, which led to the tank unable to take a hull-down position.
This build was supposed to have a track system and accurate suspension for the road wheels, however various issues stopped that from going ahead and stagnating work for four months.
