The Kfir was an Israeli fighter jet designed after the French Mirage III. It was used during the Invasion of Lebanon in 1979, where it scored its only air-to-air victory over a Syrian MiG-21. Shortly afterwards, it was withdrawn from active duty service and replaced in the 90s by more advanced aircraft such as the new F-16 and F-15 fighters. It is armed with 2 wing guns and 2 interceptor missiles. AG-1 for landing drogue.
