Description
After the YF-16 won the Lightweight Fighter Program competition, the US Air Force ordered 8 Full-Scale Development (FSD) aircraft to further develop its technologies, of which 6 were single-seater A-models and 2 were dual-seater B-models.
This was the fifth one of these FSD planes. It was later modified as the F-16XLA attack prototype, and is currently stored at the Air Force Flight Test Museum in Edwards AFB, California.
It is here equipped with 2 AIM-9 Sidewinders and 2 Drop Tanks.
