The first Supersonic jet, the TU-144 (Airbus Concorde came 7 months later) astounded the world because of how far it can travel in short time, the Communist Government demanded to produce another one thats cheaper to run than the TU-144, Tupolev offered the TU-112 plans to the Communist Government. It was approved and the project went underway. When it was finished, Tupolev tested the aeroplane but alas, due to heavy engines, flimsy wings, faulty nose cone, and other design flaws, the plane plummeted 50,000 feet from the sky to the Siberian Fields and caught on fire before it crashed. The project lasted 2 years, and the plane lived only for 15 hours
