Karmov Obj-333
One of the easy flying and landing helicopter that I did -
Easy flying, yet, helicopters are always tricky machines. If you are new, you may need some practice, and this is the way to do (at least for this one) -
How to land safely:
1) Lower the throttle to 25 to 30%, and the air brake will deploy automatically. So your airspeed will drop
2) VTOL to 75% (default is at the middle, so I consider the default value as 50%)
3) now, your chopper is lowering down. Nose up (pitch), which will prevent the rotor blades from hitting the runway and lower the airspeed.Slow down!
4) Once you touch the ground, move down the VTOL to the lowest - 0%
5) Set throttle to 0%
How to takeoff
1) Throttle to 100% (Air brakes will close while you give the throttle up
2) Move the VTOL from the middle (50%) to the top (100%) to gain altitude
Tips; While flying...
Nose down to speed up; you may also lose altitude a bit- Nose up to lower the speed, and gain altitude - lowering the VTOL will effectively reduce the altitude quickly.
The Design
Kamov Design Bureau is famous for its coaxial rotor system, which does not need the tail rotors like most helicopters. Kamov OBJ-333 also follow the same design principles as other Kamov helicopters with coaxial rotors. it is a prototype helicopter designed to carry 6-8 troops and also armed with 2 machine-gun posts, a minigun, four guided missiles, 14 unguided rockets, and bombs.
