In 1957, the USAF and the Navy needed both a carrier and land based fighter that was lightweight and could outrun most soviet fighters at the time. Lime Air, a typically commercial company, stepped up to the contract. They designed their first fighter, the LF-1 Blue Jay. This twin engined, afterburning, delta winged design could outrun almost every societ fighter at the time and could intercept aoviet bombers as well. With adhedraled canards in the front and a large elevon on the tail it was also more maneuverable than previous US fighters.
Hope you liked my little lore to this challenge entry as well as the plane itself. Hope you like it!

Wow! Love the color, and it looks really cool. However, the jet is a bit hard to rotate. It does not pitch very well. But, 38.5/50.
