Hornet
Hornet – A more powerful and enhanced version of the Bumblebee - https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/GaDBp2/bumblebee
The main new feature of the Hornet is an integrated first-person-view
which allows the player to get in and out of the plane and to walk around it. There are also some minor changes to the cockpit.
How to operate:
Spawn somewhere on the ground!
After spawning, you will find yourself standing beside the plane.
You can use PITCH, ROLL and YAW to walk around. This works especially well when using a pc-keyboard.
Activation Group 4 puts you into the plane and makes it operational.
Startup:
Press the upper button on the right side to switch the plane on.
Start the Engine with the button below.
Throttle up and than down again to make it idle normally.
Button P disengages the parking-brake.
Button L turns on the light.
The Lever under the Dashboard controlls the landing gear.
Flying:
The plane uses normal flight controls + TRIM but has no flaps.
The Hornet is very powerful for such a small airplane but still very easy to fly and can take off and land on very short runways.
A little trivia:
While the Bumblebee uses a half VW-Bug engine, this plane has a full grown Porsche engine with 300 hp! (Don’t worry, the 911 was completely rusted out... )
