Overview

The DRA-22A Fenryr II is Lykania's next-generation attack bomber. Designed as as a replacement for the original Fenryr, which entered service in 1990 and was designated as an attack aircraft, the Fenryr II was changed at the last minute, now falling under the bomber category. Capable of carrying bomber-worthy loads at fighter-fast speeds, the Fenryr II is almost the perfect platform. Only time will tell if the Fenryr II will prove to be the aircraft Lykania was looking for.

Background and Development

The Fenryr II was created as a replacement for the aging original Fenryr. The project began in late 2007, with the first sketches and mockups being presented. The Fenryr II was originally designed to replace the Fenryr as an attack aircraft, but with the introduction of the Thanatos in 2012, the Fenryr II's role was changed in order to make it into a bomber. The first prototype flew in 2014, the same year as the Thanatos.

Operational History

Entering service in mid-2024, the Fenryr II has yet to see combat. It has participated in numerous drills with other nations. The closest combat the Fenryr II came to was the December 2024 standoff with Liberty Bay, in which the DMZ established during the 2021 Cascadian Uprising, was disputed and breached numerous times. Fenryr IIs flew regular patrols over the DMZ until the Odessa Conference finalized the DMZ on January 1st, 2025.

Gameplay

Happy new year, y'all. I got nothing crazy for this build. It was just one of those times where you're bored as hell and decided to just revamp or rebuild one of your first ever builds. I finished this thing way back in, like, November but got carried away with other projects, leaving the Fenryr to collect dust. So, I finally uploaded it. Ag. 1 will activate the lights while Ag. 8 will close the canopy. Flies pretty good for the absolute CHONK that it is. So, yeah, that's all. While I'm at it, I'm about 70% with the scores for the MFC. I'll definitely meet that Jan. 3rd deadline. Once again, happy new year!
