Ra-5
Single-engine amphibious prop aircraft with thrust vector control (TVC). Aircraft is intended for travel on relatively low altitude with the possibility of movement by water area
Aircraft features:
- About 22 minutes and 21 seconds flight time;
- Thrust vector control (carried out by rotating the body of engine);
- Short take-off (due to TVC);
- Vertical take-off;
- Take-off from land and water surface, water landing;
- Buoyancy characteristic of aircraft makes it possible to use it as a boat.
Equipment:
2 x Rotator (Input: VTOL)
2 x Airbrake
3 x Flare type Countermeasure Dispenser
2 x Beacon Light Quick Blink Style [Activation Group 1]
3 x Beacon Light Steady Blink Style [Activation Group 1]
Fuel capacity: 247 gal
Notes (please read this):
1) To vertical take-off from land surface or water surface engine must be located in vertical position (angle is 90 degrees).
First, increase power to 100%. Aircraft starts gain altitude and lean forward. When aircraft starts lean backwards, use TVC and change engines position to horizontal position (angle is 0 degrees) and control your altitude with help of elevators. Vertical take-off is completed!
2) To smooth landing on water surface speed of aircraft must not exceed 200 mph.
3) For stability on water surface during movement, use engines position with angle 45 degrees to horizon (initial position). At 50% power with nearly a full fuel tank you can reach speed 170 mph on water surface. When speed exceeds 175 mph, aircraft begins to take off.
4) To turn left or right at movement on water surface, use ailerons or rudders (slightest little movements).
Fly and enjoy!
