Messerschmitt Me-262 HGIII

30.0k Dumpworks  8.2 years ago

Designed obviously after the Messerschmitt Me-262, it changed the tail design by putting on a V-tail to lower weight, but it increased drag and the complexity of the design, not ideal for a fighter, they also placed the jet engines in wing roots instead of pods beneath the wings, often the closer the jets are to the center of the aircraft the better performance, these changes were supposed to make it faster but with no known prototypes its unclear if this design actually did so (trim for landing gear)
