On May 26, 2019, the plane, China Eastern Airlines Flight 3688 from Shanghai to Chengdu, was over Hubei Province when a windshield burst on one side of the plane, the co-pilot was sucked out of the window, and the captain immediately took control and brought the plane safely back to the ground. The plane landed safely at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport 45 minutes later, and no one died.
