The SAOS (Special Air Operations Squadrons), which were planned to be established in 1999, were established in 2021. The purpose of these squadrons was to protect secret military bases, destroy special targets, and protect the capital and its surroundings. SAOS fleets use much more advanced aircraft than the normal air forces, and these aircraft are not included in the air force inventory because the cost of these aircraft is very high.
