A fictional submarine. Can dive to about -20 feet and stay surfaced at about -13 feet. I couldn't find a better way to make a surfacing mechanic, so the pylons on the top had to. Also, the propellors don't work underwater... People may have done better than this. Just thought it'd be fun to make.

If you can download the Overload Mod, there's a more elegant yet simple way to make submarines surface and dive. It involves the use of a piston with its range extended past the normal limit, with the extending end holding a very small fuselage piece with its Buoyancy set to a very high number.
    .
This is one example of a submarine which uses the system. As for propulsion, these kinds of submarines typically use a VTOL engine kept above the water either by a piston or a detached floating block. With a separate VTOL nozzle installed in the sub for the main propulsion. The idea being that the VTOL engine is kept above the water, allowing it to power the nozzle and push the sub even while its submerged.

Of course there's my way, but that's a rather complicated method which would require its own forum post to properly detail.
